Global Civility Attends Parallel COP27 Sunday 13th November 2022Religious leaders gathered at Parliament Hill in London’s Hampstead Heath park to announce the Ten Spiritual Principles and take part in an interreligious climate repentance ceremony, the first of its kind. The programme was hosted by Archbishop Dr Rowan Williams and attended by, among others, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, Shaykh Noor ul-Aqtab Siddiqi, and Sayyed Nadeem Kazmi, both representing the Global Civility Initiative. The gathering was organised by the Elijah Board of World Religious Leaders under the guidance of Rabbi Alon Goshen-Gottstein, the organisation’s founder and interfaith director, based in Jerusalem. Rabbi Alon and Imam Feisal were also invited to a tour of Hijaz and met with His Eminence Murshid Abul Burhaan Siddiqi Hijazi at Hijaz Manor in Nuneaton.
